Corvuss Academy Highlights

The Corvuss American Academy has partnered with Mr. Lalchand Rajput to give hands-on coaching to our Scholar Athletes. They undergo a rigorous and comprehensive training program to become all-rounders i.e. successful in both academics and sports. Our aim is to condition young players and to increase their skills, using the latest technology and modern techniques, under our team of well-trained coaches. Our Scholar Athletes will also get ample opportunities to take part in national and international tournaments to gain invaluable experience from them. Attending international camps curated especially for them will give them first-class international exposure.

Master of the Pitch

Mr. Lalchand Rajput has been associated with the game of cricket for over three decades as a player, administrator and a coach. As a multi-faceted cricketer, he has successfully coached various Indian teams at different levels to win critical championships in the country and overseas. He has led Mumbai in Ranji Trophy, West Zone, Irani Trophy and also led the Tata Sports Club for 7 years. He has also coached the Mumbai Indians in the 2008 Indian Premier League. Mentoring and guiding players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ishant Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Piyush Chawla, Abhinav Mukund – the product of U-19 team who are now champions.

CORE MISSION

To give our new-generation cricketers the grooming they need to dominate the pitch. Using the latest technologies and decades of experience, we will give our Scholar Athletes everything they need to become well-rounded sportspersons with the ability to compete nationally and globally.

CREDENTIALS

Mr. Lalchand Rajput has groomed Level I and Level II coaches in India and stood 1st in Level III Coaching Exam of the BCCI. His coaching accomplishments are a testament to his expertise in all forms of the game – Test, One Day and T20.

COACH OF THE INDIAN TEAM FROM 2007 TO 2008

Coach of the Indian team from 2007 to 2008, winning the 1st Twenty 20 World Cup held in South Africa in 2007.

COACH OF INDIA 2014

Lead a team’s tour to Australia in August 2014. We won the quadrangular series and drew test series (1-1).

COACH OF THE MUMBAI INDIANS

Coach of the Mumbai Indians team in the IPL (2008).

HEAD COACH OF ZIMBABWE

Currently head coach of Zimbabwe cricket team from June 2018.

COACH OF THE INDIA U-19 TEAM

I have been the Coach of the India U-19 team for a year from July 2006 to August 2007. The team under my guidance never lost a series, the team emerged winners in all the five overseas tours.

WON (3-2) AGAINST PAKISTAN

Won the Test series (1-0) and one day series (3-2) against Pakistan at home in 2007.

COACH OF INDIA-A TEAM 2013

Coach of India-A team against West Indies-A team (September-October 2013). Won T20, test series (1-1) and one-day (1-2)
