Sean McManus and Threshold Athletics are thrilled to partner with the Corvuss American Academy. We share the collective vision of bringing world class facilities, training and academics to Indian student-athletes hoping to maximize their abilities. Through this partnership we will provide our student-athletes with the coaching, preparation, experience and exposure needed to continue their university pursuits in the United States and around the globe.


Sean McManus

Pushing your limits

Sean McManus has nearly two decades of experience coaching and mentoring athletes to the highest levels of track and field. His athletes have won NCAA and national championships; appeared at the Olympic Games, World Championships and Continental Championships; and competed in the IAAF Diamond League. Now serving as the Owner/Director of Threshold Athletics, Sean and his team are devoted to helping junior-age athletes reach their athletic potential, while assisting athletes and their families through the university search process.


To push student-athletes to their fullest potential as athletes, students and citizens. Combining proven training techniques with Corvuss American Academy’s world-class facilities and outstanding academic programming will allow us to accomplish this mission. Student-athletes will also have opportunities to join us in the United States for technical training camps, competitions and university tours.


Sean was a four-time Florida high school champion in the sports of cross country and track before an outstanding collegiate career as a student-athlete at the University of Notre Dame. After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and a Masters Degree in Exercise Science, Sean embarked on a successful coaching career. Sean’s nearly two-decades of collegiate service included coaching and recruiting roles at the University of Notre Dame, Florida State University and Fresno State University. During that time, Sean coached athletes from all over the United States, Canada, Mexico, England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, Australia, Haiti, Ecuador, Trinidad, and Sweden.

Coached high performance athletes

Coached athletes to 3 individual and 3 team NCAA championships.

Achieving brilliance

Coached six athletes to sub-4:00 in the mile.

Global athletic foot print

Coached athletes from the United States, Canada, Ireland, England, Scotland and Netherlands to 15 national titles at the Senior, U-23 and Junior levels.

Performing at the highest level

Coached athletes to four Olympic Games appearances.
